Terms of Use

These rules apply between you and Lukalia.lu, whether you’re here privately or commercially. As soon as you register and use Lukalia, they apply to you too. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

You must be at least 18 years old. If you’re younger (from 16), you need your parents’ consent.

Lukalia is an online marketplace for property, vehicles and second-hand goods in Luxembourg and the border region. We connect people, nothing more: a purchase is always concluded directly between buyer and seller — Lukalia is never itself a party to the contract and sells nothing on its own account.

Using Lukalia is free for now. Should that ever change, we’ll let you know in good time — and nothing becomes paid without your explicit yes.

What you state must be true. The following are not allowed, among others:

• counterfeit or illegal goods,
• spam and posting the same listing repeatedly,
• anything that breaks Luxembourg law.

You are responsible yourself for being allowed to offer and sell what you post.

Your content belongs to you. You only allow us to display your photos, texts and listings on Lukalia so others can see them — nothing more. When you upload something, you confirm that you hold the rights to it.

If you come across a listing or message that breaks the rules or the law, let us know — via the report button or by email to kontakt@lukalia.lu. We’ll take a look. If something really is in breach, we may hide, edit, block or delete it. As a rule we’ll tell you why — and you can object if you think we’ve got it wrong. Only when it’s serious or the law requires it do we act immediately and without warning.

You can pause or fully delete your account at any time — directly under Profile → Security, without asking us. Your listings then disappear from the marketplace.

For other people’s listings and for deals between users we can’t be held responsible — we’re not part of them, and we’re not liable for third-party content. We do our best to keep Lukalia running reliably, but we can’t promise uninterrupted availability. This naturally doesn’t apply where we ourselves act with intent or gross negligence, nor in the case of personal injury — there we stand by what we do.

If you sell commercially, additional legal obligations apply to you — for example a right of withdrawal for your buyers and your own legal notice. You have to take care of that yourself; Lukalia doesn’t do it for you.

We may adjust these rules when necessary. If something important changes, we’ll let you know beforehand. If you keep using Lukalia afterwards, the new version applies — if you don’t agree, you can delete your account at any time.

Luxembourg law applies and the courts of Luxembourg have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living in another country (for example Germany, France or Belgium), you keep the protective rights of your home country and can also turn to its courts.
